So I built a package for this and tested it and it's pretty neat. It
works over https which is my prime use case, so I'm very happy with it.
It's 45k lines of C++ so unfortunately I didn't audit it.
There's also the issue that upstream has a skeleton debian/ directory,
but i just squash this in our package. Hopefully that's still sane.
I uploaded the package, it should land in NEW shortly.
