Bug#1038403:

I support this request, as a new user who experience Debian I think lack of a user friendly interface to manage minor update to packages, but also to help transition from a major release of Debian, like do mint-updater or update-manager (from ubuntu) for not technical user.

I think as MVP that only manage update and major update could be enough.
Yes I know there is already UnattendedUpgrades package, but it lacks of user frienldy ui and only do minor update not a major of OS (https://wiki.debian.org/UnattendedUpgrades)
There is also a wiki page in Debian for AutomatedUpgrade, that summarizes the problem explaining how Ubuntu handle it (https://wiki.debian.org/AutomatedUpgrade)

Can we start from a fork of this tools and integrate in Debian?

Thanks
