Hello adoption committee,
Noted the disappearance of the tiny camera command-line program
invoked as /usr/bin/streamer
in debian buster.... since I have been involved with
unix/bsd/linux since the 70s, I understand... well,
okay some have to go.
Is there a simple linux camera command intended to replace
"streamer"?
I use streamer to run my short sweet simple security system. It
works remarkably well for
the effort I put into it, but now-a-days it is obtuse to install.
But still works.
Just wondered if you have any plans for streamer (it's not on adoption lists, either) ?
Bunch of xawtv dependencies (boy that was a while ago).
Learned the hard way that you have high-experience-expectations
for maintainers,
but if you have need of maintainers, I am happy to help (though
I'm not really interested
in being in the public view in having my name email or phone
splattered across the net, everywhere).
If you look at my website, you will find out how I view my public
appearance :-)
If you reply and tell me what mailing lists to "lurk" on, to learn, I'll sign up.
Thanks for your attention. I write (child) adoption websites
lately, but know C, shells,
knew the unix kernel, etc.
