You can also rescue using a regular debian install
disk with parameters
like:
rescue root=/dev/hda1 or whatever.
Check addional options, or some menu like that in the
debian disk.

I tried "root=/dev/hda1" , but got a message that the
kernel image was not found.
N.B. I don't have a usable CD drive to boot from. I
have to use floppies.
And I want to do it the Debian way, using "Debian
Rescue Floppies". Somebody has to know how one could
use them for the purposes of "rescuing"!
