It's important to consider acceptable downtime when deciding what to
install. Even with great bandwidth, it may be faster to be able to
pull the entire system from backup, rather than having to install a
base Debian system, get all the packages you wanted reinstalled, and
put back the stuff you did back up.
It's _very_ nice to be able to pop media in the drive, start a
restore and have everything there when you're done. But it takes a
lot more media... so you have to decide which is more important.
