I put patches from ad3b0d706c71bb6f3309a236e98e8fb644121bc6 &be0377afd9573be47495ac97be42ecc4dae5f0a2 into the repo and it seems to solve the issue. Maybe one of the patches is surplus.
As said: the first point release is around the corner, I'll try to push the fix to 12.2.
