I cannot reproduce this in sid.

Do you have all necessary packages installed?

You didn't provide neither the log file nor the .fls file of  
	latex -recorder test.tex

My current guess is that you simply haven't installed all the necessary
packages.

Please install
	texlive-full
and retry.
