Bug#182125: tetex upgrade problems
I agree with your diagnosis that tetex-base's postinst is at fault. In
short, it is far too sensitive to the state of materials in
tetex-bin. Here are more possible cuplrits:
texconfig, from this line in postinst:
echo "Running initex. This may take some time. ..."
$TEXCONFIG_P init > $TEMPFILE
/usr/sbin/update-updmap
Also, reviewing the postinst, I think there are a number of things
called in there which should probably only be called in the configure
case but will also be called in the cases of 'abort-upgrade',
'abort-remove', and 'abort-deconfigure'. Not sure if this is really a
problem or not, though.
