Bug#96574: xdvi fails to display ps-figures

I get even better errors -- I can see one or two of the figures,
but most appear as empty boxes. One appears near the top right
corner (and looks like the page was torn).

The PostScript mpgraph.ps.gz looks fine; the mpgraph.{\d} files
that cause problems for gs when called by xdvi also cause errors
when opened directly with gv.
I'm reassigning the bug to tetex-doc, as that's the source of the
mpgraph documentation files. xdvi doesn't appear to be at fault
at all (unless you wanted to have a wishlist bug that xdvi should
check to see if there are compressed versions of graphic files).
