Sorry for that; I am typing challenged. Also, "Derek Payne"
<derekpayne@comcast.net> pointed out that the SS1+ is a SUN4C beast,
not a SUN4M and I had originally written. So, once I renamed the
file to 0A000011.SUN4C.,
# ls -l
total 14672
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 3161568 Aug 6 16:18 0A000011.SUN4C
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 3161568 May 18 2002 tftpboot.img
#
I seem to be able now to download the kernel to my SS1+,
ok boot net
Probing Memory Bank #: 1 2 3 4 5
Booting from: le(0,0,0)
307c00
Unfortunately, it seemed to have frozen up right there. I have left
the terminal window I was using as console open for some 6 hours now
and no sign of activity. The tftpboot.img file I got was taken from
http://ftp.egr.msu.edu/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-sparc/current/sun4cdm/tftpboot.img.
Could it have a problem? Could I have screwed things up?
