FW: SPARCstation 5 (sun4m) and 2.4.17 on Debian 2.2r4
Hi,
I have just downloaded the latest CVS kernel from vger.samba.org which
is version 2.5.3-pre5. When trying to boot this it gives me the
folowing:
SILO boot:
PROMLIB: obio_ranges 1
Fixup f f017dc54 refers to weird instructions at

Where did you get the kernel from and what did you compile it with
(compiler, binutils, modutils)? The late 2.4 kernels (17, 18-pre) look
pretty good here on sun4m. Ben is right that sparc patches are expected
to appear on vger cvs earlier than the mainstream kernel.
