I tried to enable the font smoothing capabilities via Preferences > RDP tab > Quality settings.
I can choose it. But when I press the Close button there is an error shown on the command line
and the setting is not being activated. This happens for all available configuration options.
I also started remmina as root just to make sure I have rights to write to all locations and
got the same result. The error on the command line is:

(org.remmina.Remmina:158362): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 00:53:58.023: gtk_switch_get_active: assertion 'GTK_IS_SWITCH (sw)' failed

This is a major limitation and should be fixed asap. Remmina cannot be configured at the moment.

Regards, Daniel
