To reproduce, in an amd64 sid chroot:

  dgit clone xen experimental
  cd xen
  dpkg-buildpackage -uc -b

top reports:

14434 ian       20   0   19652   7844   3208 R 100.0  0.0  40:21.81 ld

This is blocking the xen-4.8 transition.
