Bug#923663: partitionmanager: does not start, permission denied

I have tried to run partitionmanager on both testing and unstable systems. The permissions issue can be fixed with a policy file in /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/ and subsequently open it with

pkexec partitionmanager

But partitionmanager has other problems. After attempting to start with pkexec it gives this message:

"pkexec partitionmanager qt.qpa.screen: QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display Could not connect to any X display."

Defining a display makes no difference.

I've been advised not to run it with "su -c" but tried it as a test and it shows different errors :

"No support tools were found for file systems currently present on hard disks in this computer:

As long as the support tools for these file systems are not installed you will not be able to modify them.

You should find packages with these support tools in your distribution's package manager."

Both those packages are installed, of course.
