Dear Maintainer,

since switching from kdm to sddm, I get a "Authentication is required to
suspend the system" dialog whenever I close the lid of my laptop, press the
suspend button or execute suspend/hibernate from the KDE menu.
This prevents automatic suspend, which may lead to overheating when the laptop
is transported in a bag.

It seems this bug is similar in nature to https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=727645 - loginctl reports the following:

$ loginctl
   SESSION        UID USER             SEAT
         2       1000 kdeuser          seat0
         1        130 sddm             seat0

There is a known workaround: https://lists.debian.org/debian-
user/2014/10/msg01699.html (search for org.freedesktop.upower.pkla)
However, I think it would be better to fix this on the sddm side.

This is with sysvinit-core.

I think the two are unrelated, other than the fact that they sddm was uploaded around the same time that upower changed it's interface.

I think that this has been fixed on the policykit side, at least, I'm not seeing this behavior (in a vm, running sid). I'm closing the issue now, if you can still reproduce it, please, report a new bug against powerdevil.

Happy hacking,
