X-Debbugs-Cc: p.a.rombouts@home.nl
Package: pdnsd
Version: 1.2.6-par-4
File: /usr/share/doc/pdnsd/README
Severity: minor

Can you please use exactly parallel directories.
$ dlocate -L pdnsd
/usr/share/doc/pdnsd/html/dl.html
/usr/share/doc/pdnsd/html/doc.html
/usr/share/doc/pdnsd/html/faq.html
/usr/share/doc/pdnsd/html/index.html
/usr/share/doc/pdnsd/txt/faq.txt.gz
/usr/share/doc/pdnsd/txt/intro.txt.gz
/usr/share/doc/pdnsd/txt/manual.txt.gz
shows the user in a hurry to find the manual that he will have to read
the latter item.

Better yet: many projects just dispense with the .txt, as the user can
use w3m -dump, etc.

Yes, /usr/share/doc/pdnsd/README has this _pure torture_ memory table:
   index.html / intro.txt Overview, system requirements
doc.html / manual.txt Building, installation and usage instructions
   faq.html / faq.txt The FAQ

doc.html needs compilation instructions split out: for binary only
distributions.

P.S.,
Remove /usr/share/doc/pdnsd/html/dl.html and adjust internal links to it:
    pdnsd Download Page
For obvious reasons, the real download page is not included
    in the distribution ;-)
Sure looks like it, frozen and all.

P.S., broken link at
file:///usr/share/doc/pdnsd/html/index.html#currentmaintainer
to
file:///usr/share/doc/README.par

Perhaps run the whole thing thru checklink.

Anyway, all in all, trim the tangled docs...
Tuck the credits into the source code.
Dispense with the former maintainer contact info into the source code.

P.S., I notice pdnsd is sensitive to lines added to /etc/hosts, but
doesn't go back to use the ISP's values when those lines are
removed... (I will try pdnsd-ctl add in the future instead of /etc/hosts.)
P.S., dump doesn't show any of the ttl info etc.
