Package: loop-aes-utils
Version: 2.13.1-4
Severity: important
Using the debian installer, setting up an encrypted root partition on top of an md device results in an
unbootable system. During the initrd boot process, the loopaes script in scripts/local-top runs before mdadm
which causes the script to enter an infinite loop trying to set up a loop using a non-existent md device.
One workaround is to hard-code /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-top/loopaes to report "mdadm" as a
prerequisite and rebuild the initramfs.
The script should be made to correctly determine its prerequisites so that the devices it depends on are made
available before it attempts to setup the encrypted loop.
