I just tried to install [1] on Power IntelliStation 275. It installs, reboots, and works fine. At one point yaboot-installer code calls /usr/lib/partconf/find-partitions --flag prep which is supposed to return prep boot partition, but in your case it looks like it returns nothing. Here is what it returns on my system. I tried it just before reboot at the end of installation procedure: > /usr/lib/partconf/find-partitions --flag prep /dev/sda1 7.0 MiB Without --flag: > /usr/lib/partconf/find-partitions /dev/sda1 7.0 MiB /dev/sda2 ext3 66 GiB /dev/sda5 swap 2.8 GiB Can you try the same on your system? Maybe it throws a very descriptive error. :-) Milan [1] http://people.debian.org/~ag/squeeze/unofficial-debian-squeeze-powerpc-netinst-1-yaboot-1.3.16.iso [Appendix] > /target/sbin/sfdisk -l Disk /dev/sda: 35003 cylinders, 128 heads, 32 sectors/track Units = cylinders of 2097152 bytes, blocks of 1024 bytes, counting from 0 Device Boot Start End #cyls #blocks Id System /dev/sda1 * 0+ 3 4- 7168 41 PPC PReP Boot /dev/sda2 4 33554- 33551- 68711424 83 Linux /dev/sda3 33554+ 35002 1449- 2965505 5 Extended /dev/sda4 0 - 0 0 0 Empty /dev/sda5 33555 35002 1448 2965504 82 Linux swap / Solaris
