Re: 2.6.12 debian powerpc kernels and ppc64 ...




I have successfully tested the kernel sven64 on my PowerMac G5, the cpuinfo is at the bottom. The kernel boots up, but after system initialization fan also starts full speed (even after the X init). The syslog does not says anything about the fans stuff. Dont really know what is the module related to its control and what tests should I do to check cpu temp. Also the frame buffer started in a very low resolution and the charset of the console was not the desired (but those are minor problems). The syslog file of the kernel init stage is as follows
