Bug#420851: marked as done (Openoffice.org shows squares instead of characters in the user interface if KDE default font has been set to OpenSymbol)

Version: 2.0.4.dfsg.2-5etch1

Fresh install of etch 4.0r0, with most common KDE packages, and Openoffice.org.
Set through KDE's Control center the default system fonts: all to Opensymbol, except for fixed width.
Open any openoffice software and you will see that all the interface (menus, dialogs) show squares instead of characters.
Opensymbol IS installed, as it works elsewhere.

And OpenSymbol is not supposed to be used as an UI font.
