It wasn't actually Olly's fault to choose 'an' in favour of 'a': he just pointed out the previous inconsistency. But when creating a patch, given the choice between the two, I considered that at Debconf everyone said "ennemyou" instead of "new maintainer upload" and went for the one that fits with the acronym instead of the extended form.
