Package: ardour-gtk
Severity: normal
With the default ardour_ui.rc, ardour is quite unusable on most my computers. For some reason, most of the text is not even barely readable.
I guess it has something to do with the fact that in this ardour_ui.rc, there are references to fonts that are probably missing on my systems.
The bottom line is that this ardour_ui.rc should probably not mention any specific font, unless the package is actually 100% sure that these fonts are available, and that no unappropriate fallback will be used instead.
To avoid this, in the current state of things, I simply put in comment all lines with the "font" or "fontset" string, which implies that I loose the font size tuning.
Not dramatic but quite inconvenient.
Regards,
