Ideally it would be someone who is a regular CinePaint user. Could you survey the CinePaint userbase to find out if you have any Debian Developers among them?
What do we do about the issue that CinePaint needs FLTK built with thread support?
The FLTK package maintainer is Aaron M. Ucko <ucko@debian.org>. http://packages.debian.org/etch/libfltk1.1If it turns out that this is not the case, and the maintainer thinks the change is too invasive, there's the option to create a new alternative FLTK package.
