Bug#923069: eom: please support webp images
Package: eom
Version: 1.22.2-1
Followup-For: Bug #923069
Still an issue.
What is interesting, eom does load some webp libraries when opening some
other files:
$ cat /proc/$(pidof eom)/maps | grep -i web
7f6de4e48000-7f6de4e4b000 r--p 00000000 07:00 130963 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwebp.so.6.0.2
7f6de4e4b000-7f6de4e9c000 r-xp 00003000 07:00 130963 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwebp.so.6.0.2
7f6de4e9c000-7f6de4eaf000 r--p 00054000 07:00 130963 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwebp.so.6.0.2
7f6de4eaf000-7f6de4eb0000 r--p 00066000 07:00 130963 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwebp.so.6.0.2
7f6de4eb0000-7f6de4eb1000 rw-p 00067000 07:00 130963 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwebp.so.6.0.2
$
But funnily enough, it doesn't do that when I ask it to open actual webp file.
