Bug#982630: lintian: example-unusual-interpreter is confused/confusing when example script has #!/usr/bin/env python
Hi dkg,
Thanks for the compliments. You are our favorite user!

Please also see the Debian-specific guidance here:
https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/python-policy/python.html#interpreter
According to helpful souls on IRC, the unversioned python can be
installed manually via 'python-is-python3' or 'python-is-python2'.
But, "we want python3—or python2, if the package is not compatible
with Python 3. Use of unversioned python in debs is a bug."
A dedicated tag would be great but too late for 'bullseye'. In
consideration of public opinion, we are not presently updating Lintian
in the archive. [1]
Kind regards
Felix Lechner
