PCMCIA problem
Hi,
I have some problems with my PCMCIA network card (W-LINX LinxPro) in
a Toshiba Satellite Pro 480CDT laptop. My distribution is Debian 3.0 (but
still Kernel 2.2.17) with pcmcia-cs-3.1.33 (source package from sourceforge,
not .deb):
- When I stop the card services and start them afterwards, I get a kernel
panic ("attempt to kill idle task.")
- The card doesn't get configured properly at boot time. Re-inserting the
card or entering "cardctl eject 0; sleep 3; cardctl insert 0" solves the
problem. I appended the syslog to this message (quite long)
I already tried to fix the problem by using the "exclude" commands suggested
for other Toshiba laptops in the HOWTO, but this didn't help. The boot
problem appeared sometimes (non-deterministically) with Potato, but I always
encounter it with Woody.
TIA
Niklas
