Package: firmware-amd-graphics
Version: 20210818-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

On my older laptop ASUS F5RL on boot I was having a warning of a missing firmware for Raderon graphics, I installed this firmware and the warning disappeared, system is working ok, but I have problems with at least two programs: Teamviewer - it fails to start, giving a "segfault" error and a wine program which is also fails to start, giving another error (I'll provide it if needed). Once I delete the firmware package and update initramfs both programs begin to work properly.
Graphic card installed is ATI Radeon Xpress 1100
I tried to install two previous versions of the firmware: 20210315-3 and 20190114-2 - the result was the same.

I know the laptop is quite old but still working. Please consider a fix.
Thanks.

This is not a bug in the firmware. You should now have 3D accelerated
graphics and that seems to trigger bugs in these applications or
libraries they use. Please contact the support channels for the
individual applications.

Ben.

Always try to do things in chronological order;
it's less confusing that way.
