Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

noht has no effect.

I have been trying to chase down a weird hang which occurs only on 6 core/12 thread Ryzens (I cannot reproduce it on 4/8 or older CPUs).

As a part of that I tried to disable ht. Well, it cannot be disabled - the noht command line arg has no effect whatosever.

As ht can be a security hole this may have security implications as well.
