Bug#892146: linux-latest: linux-image-* should suggest linux-doc
Source: linux-latest
Version: 4.14+89
Severity: wishlist
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA512
To best explain why I think this is warranted, I propose my system
as an example. I have linux-image-amd64 installed, and right now in
Buster, that depends on linux-image-4.14.0-3-amd64. That package
suggests linux-doc-4.14, but when linux-image-amd64 migrates to a
newer version like 4.15, linux-doc-4.14 will probably be autoremoved,
and linux-doc-4.15 won't install itself.
For the same reason that versioned Linux images suggest their
versioned documentation, it makes that Linux image metapackages
suggest the linux-doc metapackage.
