I use:
#
# Parallel port support
#
CONFIG_PARPORT=m
# CONFIG_PARPORT_PC is not set
# CONFIG_PARPORT_AMIGA is not set
# CONFIG_PARPORT_MFC3 is not set
# CONFIG_PARPORT_ATARI is not set
CONFIG_PARPORT_GSC=m
# CONFIG_PARPORT_SUNBPP is not set
# CONFIG_PARPORT_OTHER is not set
# CONFIG_PARPORT_1284 is not set
and that works. Right now I can print (I used apsfilter to set up my
printer), but it sure looks ugly right now.

The best answer when anybody asks you if you're any good with
explosives is to hold up two open hands and simply say "Ten".
