fldigi password for qrz lookup bug

Greetings,

I stumbled on an issue with FLDIGI performing qrz callsign lookups while
using a strong password.  I've read the fldigi manual and README to no
avail.

Anyone know what characters fldigi will use and maximum password size?
My browsers have no problems with my strong password, but I use fldigi
extensively and really want it to work for lookups with a strong long
password.

I've attempted to send a bug report to linuxham@group.io regarding this bug.
