Hi-
	I think the problem is the kernel version you are using.  IIRC, with
kernels 2.6.12, 2.6.13 and 2.6.14 kiss/ax25 support is somewhat broken.
I'm fairly confident 2.6.15 has ax.25 fixed and extremely confident
about 2.6.16.
