-1.2 didn't fix it, and it behaves the same in -1.4, it's caused by a
glibc resolving function... IIRC it tries to resolve AAAA adresses before
looking A addresses up in the /etc/hosts file. Anyway, it's not fixed with
that supposed workaround, at least not for me.

We may not like the behaviour, but I'm still not sure whether it's a feature
or a bug... severity normal for now - Espy (glibc maintainer) will know how
to take care of it.
