    Running kernel seems to be up-to-date.

    The processor microcode seems to be up-to-date.

    No services need to be restarted.

    No containers need to be restarted.

    No user sessions are running outdated binaries.

No VM guests are running outdated hypervisor (qemu) binaries on this host.

    No installed packages are looking for a new maintainer.

And ideally, that check would be quick and use information already on the system at this point, maybe a supplemental file under indices/ that can be downloaded during an update.
