This looks a lot like what was discussed on the debian-kde list here : [1].
Which it tracked upstream as [2] and fixed in Plasma 5.26.1.
We have an ongoing Qt transition entangled with many other pieces so I can't upload 5.26.1 just now, but will do as soon as the transition is over.
