Extension support in Azure
==========================
Microsoft has reversed course on the issue described in [1], the VM extensions
are now opt-in. Bastian Blank is working on a change to re-enable extension
support in the waagent config that's built into our images.

python-boto removal
===================
With the coming transition to python3.12, python3-boto has an RC bug that will
not be fixed. It hasn't been maintained upstream for quite a while, having
been replaced by boto3 in python3-boto3. Noah Meyerhans has requested removal
in #1058652, and will file bugs against it's consumers.

Thomas Lange identified some translations of https://www.debian.org/distrib/
which promote links to old images. He's added variables to the web site
generator, so that these links can all be kept up to date by changing just one
variable at [1].

pettersson is being replaced
============================
pettersson.d.o is in the process of being replaced. Upload scripts and
automation may need to be updated. Thomas Lange reported that his access is
already working on the replacement host.
