Hello
In the lastminute note's you say "I386: The gpm text-mode mouse driver
has some problems. You should not run the mouse-test program, and you'll
have to do "/etc/init.d/gpm stop" before you can use the mouse in X."
That is an option (not very beautiful, you can not use the mouse anymore
on TTY2-6 is you start X), but I found the next settings for gpm.conf
device=/dev/psaux
responsiveness=
type=imps2
append="-l \"a-zA-Z0-9_.:~/\300-\326\330-\366\370-\377\""
It works with every mouse I have tryed (5 different mouses) and you
don't require to stop gpm before starting X.
Alfred
p.s. I'm not on the list
