I can reliably write and read up to 700,000,000 bytes (667 MB), but we
have some people to whom I have given disks who cannot reliably read past
650,000,000 bytes (619 MB).  We are currently pushing the limits on Disk 1
of the i386 set (with 628 MB), but even this is greatly reduced from what
the standard debian-cd package would build and I may lower this again.
