X on the shark

Hello,

I am still trying to run X on the shark and ran into some trouble:
When I start the kernel with 640x480x8, XF68_fb works correctly.
When I use fbset to change any of these values, X won't work any longer,
even if I revert the changes. When I start the kernel with 16 or 24 bpp, the
colormaps are wrong, which means I can't see anything under X most of the
time. When I use fbset to set the resolution to 1024x768, my monitor turns
itself off, seems like the sync-values are out of range. (It is a 20"
Monitor normaly running at 1280x1024x74HZ). The frequencies shown by fbset
are much lower than those mentioned in the comments in cyber2000fb.c which
again are much lower than what the monitor really gets.
The shark uses a CyberPro2010.

Is this also the case on the netwinder? Can I find better X-Packages
anywhere? (Though that will not help too much, because these are errors in
the framebuffer) Are the ARM-patches included in the
3.3.5-debian-source-packages or where can I find them?

And BTW: Do you know who is working on the cyberpro fb-driver in the kernel
at the moment?

Thanks
  Alexander
