I'm trying to install Debian/Etch on an Amiga 1200 equipped with a Blizzard 1230mkIV turboboard. CPU: 68030@50 FPU: 68882@50 RAM: 64mb For that, I'm using the images that can be found at: http://ftp.es.debian.org/debian/dists/unstable/main/installer-m68k/current/images/ Specifically, the nativehd initrd and the vmlinuz-2.6.18-4-amiga kernel, with the amiboot that can be found in /tools. I had to gunzip the kernel image for it to start, and I've gunzipped the initrd too while trying things out; amiboot just doesn't seem to be able to gunzip stuff. I do and get the following. 5> amiboot -d -k vmlinuz-2.6.18-4-amiga -r initrd root=/dev/ram ramdisk_size=15000 debian-installer/framebuffer=false video=amifb:pal-lace debug=mem Linux/m68k Amiga Bootstrap version 6.0snapshot May 11 2005 Copyright 1993,1994 by Hamish Macdonald and Greg Harp Amiga model identification: Resource `draco.resource': not present Chipset: AGA Module `A1000 Bonus': not present Module `A4000 bonus': not present Resource `card.resource': 0x68004e30 Type a key to continue... So the initrd gets corrupted somehow and so the installer doesn't get to start. From here, I don't know what to do/where to look. -- - Do you study theories? - Oh yes! Theories are fun. - How do you use them? - When I must act, theories are too slow. To act, I must know.
