Brazil has universal health care and anyone in its territory, including
foreigners, have access to it. So it's should not be mandatory for you
to have one before entering. Also, there is a public health unit a few
blocks away from the venue where one can get primary attention and
low-complexity treatment.

With that said, there is also a large private health insurance market,
and everyone in Brazil who can afford one has a private health plan.
With those you also get access to private facilities, less waiting, etc.

I would recommend that you do the same, i.e. get one if you can afford
it. These international travel health insurances also cover things like
accidents, flying you back home if you have to stay because of health
issues and miss your flight back, and other things.
